Volume 07 | May 2022

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so we are focusing on resiliency. Resilience is the ability to “bounce back” or adjust from difficulties or hardships. When children are able to experience and navigate through challenges positively this helps to build resilience. Play time is one way children are provided the opportunities to problem solve within their own environment and work through common social problems. Adults support by providing the positive relationships and teach children how to manage their big feelings, emotions, and frustrations.

During the month of May, take a moment to learn more about resilience in children, community resources, and so much more.
