November is Family Stories Month, which helps to remind us to celebrate the stories of those in our lives, our schools, and our communities.

Everyone wants to start out the new school year feeling hopeful and excited. One way that we can be intentional about making this happen is to slow down and be present.

We know the first few weeks of 2022 has been a challenge as this season of pandemic is greatly impacting our work and our lives. We wanted to reach out to communicate a few things.

As we approach the holiday season, this is a great time to continue building positive relationships in our classrooms and programs. We can do this by celebrating and representing ALL children and families in our classroom environment.

As we return back to school, we might also be returning to what we use to consider “normal” teaching. So, our focus this month is to support parents, teachers and educators in this transition to help prepare children by building their social and emotional toolkit.
